Welcome
to Kamadac
There are still " forgotten
worlds" on our planet, sanctuaries of nature that have escaped our insatiable
curiosity. In the southeast of Venezuela, between the Amazon and the Orinoco,
part rainforest, part savanna, lies a zone of strange mountains, the table
mountains (tepuy.) Their summits disappear into the mist, which for centuries kept them apart
from men. The discovery of the "tepuys"- the name given by the
Indians to those mountains, the dwelling place of their gods - has been
quite recent. |
