A
method used by the indigenous people is strictly not allowed to be done (near
close-by surroundings) by the Invironmetals and the National Guards, but there
is nothing that will stop them from practicing their custom because this is the
only way by which they will always earn their living.......and survive !!!!!
There is a special plant within the jungle that contains a substance that is
specifically used for poisoning fishes which is something very useful to the
Indians in general.
It is used in such a way that the root of this vine is dugged out of the
ground, chopped into junks and tied into bundles. Then it is later pounded and
dipped into the river; the fishes go drinking this milky substance and get
poisoned ( but not all fishes die, some escape into fresh water and survive)
.Then the dying fishes are inturn fished out of the water with a net, prepared
and smoked over low fire. With this sort of technology, the product can last for
several months.
This poison does no harm in the way it is bieng used here (above) but if
swallowed directly,it may cause very strong effects such as
headaches,vomiting,cramps and diarrea. |
