ITINERARY
Day - 1 Our trip begins with a five hour boat ride up the Yuruan river, situated
North of the El Dorado town.As we travel,you are introduced to the wonderful
plant and animallife of the region.Camp is built on the Turumban beach.In the
evening we go fishing and later the night, we observe alligators and tarantulas.
Overnight stay in hammocks. (-/L/D)
Day - 2 We continue up river making short stops along the way for swimming and
trekking. Eventually we arrive to an Indian settlement where we experience the
fantastic feeling of friendliness by drinking cachire and eating cassava bread
dipped into a fiery pepper sauce loaded with termites.Later the day day we cross
the meeting of two rivers where the seperation looks similar of that to a map.
Camp is built at the mouth of the rivers where we enjoy a short night because
our sleep is often broken at approximately three in the morning by the cries of
the howling monkeys in the near by surroundings. Overnight stay in hammocks.

Day - 3 Up river the following day, we observe wildlife such as
parrots,maccaws,king-fishers,hummingbirds,vultures,eagles,tapirs and monkeys.We
do alot of fishing during our spare time.Once at the Paravan waterfalls,55
meters high, camp is set up and the night is spent. Overnight stay in hammocks.

Day - 4 A complete day is dedicated for a walk into the jungle where our guide
gives you a drink of pure water from a vine cut opened.He shares his his
extensive knowledge of the medicinal plants.You can also enjoy a soothing
massage from the tumbling water of a small fall,seated within a natural swimming
pool beneath.A cave located under water is visited,this being our last excursion
for the day. Overnight stay in hammocks. (B/L/D)
Day - 5 We take the same route to go back down river admiring some of the tepuys
found in that part of the area. Overnight stay in hammocks. (B/L/D)
Day - 6 We say good bye to the boat crew and in this way ending our tour in El

EQUIPMENT TO BRING ALONG
Solid walking shoes, Sneakers. Light cottontrousers, long-sleeved shirt,
rain-protection, bathing suit, sleeping bag, sleeping-mat, sun protection/sun
blocker, hat, insect repellent, knife, waterbottle, flashlight.
PLEASE NOTE:
It is possible combine this tour with the
Angel Falls Tour or the Gran Sabana Tour.

You can book now all internal flights with the KAMADAC travel service, as well
as airport assistances and Pick-up services. We offer a pick-up service from all
airports in Venezuela (including Isla Maragarita). Our driver will wait for your
flight at the airport with a sign bearing your name. This is for your security,
so you can be sure you are in safe hands, which is particularly important if you
arrive late at night. The driver will then transport you and your luggage safely
to your hostel/hotel.
